Car
If you're driving from the city of Fredrikstad, take the E6 highway north towards Oslo. After about 20 minutes, take the exit towards the E18 highway, following signs for Moss. Continue on E18 for approximately 25 kilometers, then take the exit towards Vesterøy (exit 4). Follow the signs for Vesterøy and continue straight on Dybedalsveien for about 5 kilometers until you reach Kystmuseet Hvaler, located at Dybedalsveien 37, 1684 Vesterøy. Note that parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Fredrikstad, take bus number 100 towards Hvaler. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. You will need to disembark at the stop 'Hvaler Vesterøy'. From the bus stop, it's about a 10-minute walk to Kystmuseet Hvaler. Follow the path along Dybedalsveien, and you will arrive at the museum located at Dybedalsveien 37, 1684 Vesterøy. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for the most accurate timings.
Public Transportation (Train and Bus)
If you are coming from Oslo, take a train from Oslo Central Station to Moss. The train ride takes about 1 hour. Once in Moss, transfer to bus number 100 that goes to Hvaler. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at 'Hvaler Vesterøy' bus stop. It’s about a 10-minute walk from there to Kystmuseet Hvaler, located at Dybedalsveien 37, 1684 Vesterøy. Always check the train and bus schedules ahead of time to plan your trip accordingly.
