If you are driving, start by heading towards Trøgstad from the nearest major city in Østfold, such as Sarpsborg or Moss. From Sarpsborg, take the E6 highway towards Oslo. After about 20 kilometers, take exit 7 towards Trøgstad (Route 22). Follow Route 22 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach Trøgstad. Once you enter the town, follow the signs for Kirkeveien. Turn onto Kirkeveien, and the Trøgstad Rural Museum will be on your left at number 1. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Trøgstad Rural Museum using public transport, take a train from Oslo Central Station to the nearby town of Askim. The train ride will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive at Askim Station, transfer to bus line 420 towards Trøgstad. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Trøgstad sentrum' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the museum. Head east on Kirkeveien, and you will find the museum at Kirkeveien 1. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for the latest timings.
