Car
If you are driving from Oslo, take the E6 highway south towards Halden. Continue on E6 for approximately 130 kilometers until you reach Halden. Once in Halden, take exit 4 towards Rv22 and follow the signs for Fredriksten festning. Generalveien will lead you directly to Fredriksten Camping, located near the fortress. The camping site is situated at the address: Fredriksten festning, Generalveien, 1769 Halden.

From Oslo Central Station, take a train towards Halden operated by VY. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Halden Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby bus stop. Take the bus number 1 or 2 towards Fredriksten festning. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to Fredriksten Camping. The camping site is a short walk from the bus stop.
