Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Oslo from your location in Østlandet. Use the E6 highway towards Oslo. Once you reach Oslo, follow the signs for 'Sentrum' which will lead you onto the Ring 1 road. Take the exit toward 'Slottsplassen'. The Royal Palace is located at Slottsplassen 1, 0010 Oslo. There is limited parking available nearby, and you may need to pay for parking, which can range from 25 to 40 NOK per hour.
Public Transportation - Train
To reach The Royal Palace by public transportation, take a train from your nearest station towards Oslo Central Station (Oslo S). Once you arrive at Oslo S, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Follow the signs for the tram lines and board tram number 12 or 19 towards 'Majorstuen'. Get off at the 'Nationaltheatret' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to The Royal Palace. Follow 'Karl Johans gate' straight up to the palace.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer taking the bus, find a bus line that heads to Oslo Central Station. After arriving at Oslo S, you can walk to The Royal Palace, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, catch tram number 12 or 19 from Oslo S and get off at 'Nationaltheatret', then walk to the palace.

If you are already in the vicinity of Oslo, you can simply walk to The Royal Palace if you are within a reasonable distance. The palace is located in a central area, and you can use maps on your smartphone to navigate your way to Slottsplassen 1, 0010 Oslo.
