If you're driving to Vettakollen Viewpoint, start by getting onto the E18 from your location in Østlandet. Follow the E18 towards Oslo. Once you reach Oslo, take the exit towards E6/Nasjonaltheatret. From there, follow signs for Bygdøy and then Rådhusgata. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Sognsveien. Turn onto Sognsveien and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Besserudveien, and then turn left onto Unnamed Road. There is limited parking near the viewpoint, so please be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Vettakollen Viewpoint using public transportation, start by taking the Metro (T-bane) Line 1 (Frognerseteren line) from any station in Oslo to the Vettakollen station. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Upon exiting the train, follow the signs to the viewpoint which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill from the station. Be sure to check the latest schedule for the Metro, as service frequency may vary. A single ticket on the Metro costs around 39 NOK, and you can purchase tickets at the station or via a mobile app.
