Car

If you are traveling by car in Østlandet, start your journey on the E18 highway. From Oslo, take E134 towards Haugesund. Continue on E134 until you reach the junction for Route 7 towards Hardanger. Follow Route 7 through the scenic landscapes of Hardanger until you reach the town of Eidfjord. From Eidfjord, take the local road to Vøringfossen, which is well-signposted. The waterfall is approximately 17 kilometers from Eidfjord. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

Public Transportation

To reach Vøringfossen using public transportation, start by taking a train from Oslo to Bergen. You can take the NSB train service, which offers a scenic journey. Once you arrive in Bergen, transfer to a bus heading towards Eidfjord. The bus service is provided by Nor-Way Bussekspress. The journey from Bergen to Eidfjord takes about 2.5 hours. After reaching Eidfjord, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Vøringfossen, which is about 17 kilometers away. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.
