Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Hovden, start by heading west on Hovdenvegen road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road toward Hovden Fjellstove. Take a left turn onto the road leading to Hovden Fjellstove. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see a sign for Hovdenuten on your right. Follow the signs to the designated parking area near the trailhead.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, first take the local bus service from Hovden to the nearest stop near Hovden Fjellstove. The bus runs regularly, but check the current schedule online or at the bus station for the latest timings. Once you alight at the Hovden Fjellstove stop, you will need to walk about 3 kilometers along the marked walking path towards Hovdenuten. Follow the trail signs until you reach the mountain peak.

Walking

For those already in Hovden, you can walk directly to Hovdenuten. Start from the center of Hovden and head west along Hovdenvegen. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the intersection with the road to Hovden Fjellstove. Take a left at the intersection and follow the trail signs for Hovdenuten, which will guide you for the remaining 3 kilometers through scenic paths leading up to the peak.
