If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Stavanger. Take the E39 highway heading towards Sandnes. Continue on E39 for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Rv. 505. Take the exit to Rv. 505 towards Ålgård/Sandnes. Follow Rv. 505 for about 10 kilometers, then merge onto Rv. 45 towards Sirdal. Drive for another 30 kilometers until you see signs for Songesand. Follow the signs into Songesand, and continue until you reach Tjødnane, located at address 4129 Songesand. Parking is available near the swimming area.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, begin at Stavanger bus station. Take bus number 100 towards Sandnes. This bus operates frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sandnes, transfer to bus number 104, which heads towards Songesand. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Make sure to check the latest bus schedules on the Kolumbus website, as timings may vary. After arriving in Songesand, Tjødnane is within a short walking distance from the bus stop. Look for signposts that will guide you to the swimming lake.
