Car
If you're driving, the easiest way to reach Jostedalsbreen National Park is by taking the E39 highway. From the city of Sogndal, follow the E39 north for about 20 km until you reach the junction with Route 55. Turn onto Route 55 and continue for approximately 30 km. After passing through the village of Jostedal, follow the signs to the Jostedalsbreen National Park Visitor Centre, which is located at the entrance of the park. There is a parking area available at the visitor centre. Be aware that parking fees may apply.

For those relying on public transport, you can take a bus from Sogndal to Jostedal. Look for buses operated by Fjord1 or Nor-Way Bussekspress that head towards Jostedal. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you reach the Jostedal stop, it's about a 3 km walk to the Jostedalsbreen National Park Visitor Centre. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary by season, and tickets can be purchased on the bus or via the respective bus company’s website.
