After approximately 35 kilometers, turn onto the road towards Loen (signs will indicate 'Loen' and 'Stryn'). Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you reach Loen. From Loen, follow the signs for Lovatnet, which is just a short drive (about 10 kilometers) away. The lake is located at the end of a scenic road that leads directly to its shores.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, first take a bus from Førde to Stryn. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 45 minutes. From Stryn, transfer to a local bus heading to Loen. This bus ride will take approximately another 30 minutes. Once in Loen, you can either walk (about 10 kilometers) to Lovatnet or check for any local taxis that might be available. It’s advisable to check the local bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary by season.
