Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start from Trondheim, which is approximately 2 hours away from Almannberget. Take the E6 highway southbound towards Oppdal. Once you reach Oppdal, take the exit towards Rv70. Follow Rv70 for about 15 km, and then turn onto Fv70. After about 5 km, look for signs directing you to Almannberget. There is a parking area near the base of the mountain, where you can safely leave your car.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, take a train from Trondheim to Oppdal. The train journey takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arriving at Oppdal station, exit the station and look for a bus service that heads towards Almannberget. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. After getting off at the nearest stop, it's a short walk to the parking area where the trail begins.

Walking

Once you have reached the parking area, you will need to hike to reach the summit of Almannberget. The hike is approximately 3 km and will take you about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views along the way. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water with you.
