From Trondheim, take the E6 highway southbound. After about 60 km, take the exit towards the Fv714 road towards Hitra. Continue on Fv714 for approximately 40 km until you reach the ferry terminal at Kjørsvikbugen. Board the ferry to Hitra (ferry fare applies; make sure to check current rates). Once on Hitra, follow the signs for 'Museumsplass' and drive approximately 15 km to reach Kystmuseet i Sør-Trøndelag located at Museumsplass, 7240 Hitra.
