If you are traveling by car, start in the center of Trondheim and head southeast on E6. Follow E6 for approximately 7 km until you reach exit 5 towards Estenstaddammen/Trondheim. Continue on Estenstaddammen road for about 1 km, and you will find Tømmerholtdammen on your right. There is parking available near the dam.

To reach Tømmerholtdammen via public transport, take bus line 17 from Trondheim city center towards Byneset. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Estenstaddammen' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Tømmerholtdammen, heading east along Estenstaddammen road. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Trondheim and follow the bike paths along the river. Take the bike path south from the city center towards the E6.
