If you're driving from Kristiansand, head east on E39 from the city center. Continue on E39 for about 10 kilometers. Take exit 36 toward Randesund. Follow signs for Randesund and continue on Route 456. After approximately 4 kilometers, turn onto Randøya road, which leads directly to the ferry terminal for Randøya. The ferry operates frequently, and you may need to pay a small fee for the crossing, which is around 50 NOK for a vehicle and 30 NOK per passenger. Once you arrive on Randøya island, follow the signs to Randøya fort, which is located about 2 kilometers from the ferry terminal.

To reach Randøya fort using public transport, start by taking a bus from Kristiansand Bus Station. Board the bus heading towards Randesund (Bus 30 or similar). The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Randesund stop. From there, you will need to walk to the ferry terminal, which is about 1.5 kilometers away.
