Walking

If you're starting from Stavanger's central square (Torget), head south on Øvre Holmegate, a vibrant street lined with colorful wooden houses. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Øvre Strandgate. Turn left onto Øvre Strandgate, and you will see Gamle Stavanger ahead. It's about a 10-minute walk.

Public Transport

From Stavanger bus station, catch bus number 1 heading towards Forus. Get off at the stop 'Stavanger sentrum'. From there, walk towards the harbor and follow the waterfront promenade along the harbor. Continue walking until you reach Øvre Strandgate, where Gamle Stavanger is located. This journey will take approximately 20 minutes.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near the city center. Head towards the harbor and follow the bike lane along the waterfront. As you approach the old town area, look for signs directing you to Øvre Strandgate. The ride should take around 15 minutes.
