Ferry
From Stavanger, make your way to the Stavanger ferry terminal located at Strandkaien, which is about a 10-minute walk from the city center. Once there, take a ferry to Tau. Ferries to Tau run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The ferry ride takes about 40 minutes and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Upon arrival at Tau, exit the ferry terminal.

After disembarking the ferry at Tau, head to the nearby bus stop. Board the bus heading towards Lysebotn. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. The bus will take you through stunning landscapes towards Lysefjord.

Upon reaching Lysebotn, you can explore the area on foot. Follow the signs towards the Lysefjord viewpoint, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
