Public Transport - Bus
From Stavanger city center, walk to the bus station, which is located near the main square, Torget. Look for bus number 1 or 3, which travels towards Hinna. Board the bus and enjoy the ride for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Sørmarka stop. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to the park entrance.
Public Transport - Train and Bus
Start at Stavanger Train Station located in the city center. Take the train to Forus, which usually takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Forus, exit the train station and look for the bus stop outside. Take bus number 1 or 3 that goes towards Hinna. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the Sørmarka stop. Follow the signs towards the park entrance from the bus stop.
Walking and Biking
If you prefer to walk or bike, you can start from the city center. Head south towards the waterfront and follow the path along the harbor, which will eventually lead you towards Sørmarka. The distance is about 4 kilometers and will take around 45 minutes to walk or 15-20 minutes to bike. Look for bike rental stations if you choose to bike.
