Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center, start at the Stavanger Cathedral located at Haakon VIIs gate 2. From the Cathedral, head southwest on Haakon VIIs gate towards Øvre Strandgate. Turn left onto Øvre Strandgate and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Muségata. Turn right onto Muségata, and after a short walk, you will find Stavanger City Museum on your left at Muségata 16.

  • Bus

    From Stavanger Bus Station, board bus line 4 towards Madla. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the bus stop called 'Møllebukta.' From there, walk south on Muségata for about 5 minutes. The museum will be on your left at Muségata 16.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from the city center. Start at the Stavanger Tourist Information Center on Strandkaien and head south along the waterfront. Follow the bike lane along the harbor, then turn right onto Muségata. Continue straight for about 10 minutes, and Stavanger City Museum will be on your right at Muségata 16.
