Bus
From Stavanger city center, walk to the Stavanger bus station (Stavanger Stasjon). Look for bus number 30 that goes to Haugesund. Board the bus, and enjoy the scenic route. After about 45 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Nedstrand'. From the bus stop, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along Fv515 road towards Himakånå. The trailhead will be marked, and you will see signs pointing you to the hiking area.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Stavanger city center directly to Himakånå. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Fv515 60, 5560 Nedstrand'. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will find parking areas nearby, and the trailhead should be clearly marked.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, renting a bicycle in Stavanger can be an exhilarating way to reach Himakånå. Start from the city center and head towards the coast, following the bike paths along the fjords. The ride is about 20 kilometers and will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Follow the signs towards Haugesund and then turn onto Fv515. Look for the trailhead signs for Himakånå as you approach Nedstrand.
