If you are driving to Himingsjå Turisthytte from Notodden, start by heading southwest on Nasjonal Turistveg 37 (E134) for about 10 km. Take the exit towards Gavlesjåvegen and follow the signs for Himingsjå Turisthytte. The final destination is located at Gavlesjåvegen 1081, 3677 Notodden. There is no entrance fee for accessing the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Himingsjå Turisthytte using public transport, take a train from Oslo to Notodden. From Notodden station, you will need to catch a local bus towards Heddal. Make sure to check the bus schedules as they may not run frequently. Once you arrive in Heddal, it’s about a 5 km walk to Himingsjå Turisthytte along Gavlesjåvegen.
