Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central Telemark, head towards Highway E134. Take E134 towards Haukeligrend. Continue on E134 until you reach the junction with Rv7 where you will turn right. Follow Rv7 northwards, passing through the towns of Geilo and Ustaoset. After approximately 40 km, look for signs to Hardangervidda National Park. Depending on your starting point in Telemark, the total drive can take around 2 to 3 hours.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, start your journey by taking a bus from your location in Telemark to the nearest larger town, such as Skien or Notodden, where you can catch a bus to Geilo. From Geilo, you can take a local bus service that heads towards Hardangervidda National Park. Make sure to check the schedules in advance as they may not run frequently.
