Strandsfossen: Nature's Majestic Cascade

Getting There

• Car

  From Trolltunga, head south on the E134 highway toward Odda. Continue for approximately 10 km until you reach the junction with Route 13. Turn left onto Route 13 and follow it for about 30 km. As you approach Odda, look for signs directing you to Strandsfossen. The waterfall is located just outside Odda, and you should see signs directing you to the parking area. The total drive will take roughly 40-50 minutes depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  Start at the Trolltunga parking area and take the bus to Odda. You may need to check the bus schedule in advance, as services can be limited. The bus ride to Odda typically takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Odda, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Strandsfossen. The waterfall is about 3 km from Odda city center. Walking will take approximately 40 minutes. Be sure to check the bus times for your return journey.

  If you're looking for a more direct route without the hassle of public transport schedules, consider taking a taxi from Trolltunga to Strandsfossen. This will offer you the most convenience and will take approximately 30 minutes. Be prepared for fares which can vary, but typically expect to pay around 500-700 NOK for the journey.
