If you are driving, start from the center of Tromsø. Head south on Storgata road towards the intersection with Strandveien. Continue straight onto Kongsbergvegen, which will lead you through the residential area. Follow signs for Rv 862. After about 3 km, turn right onto Sjøgata. The Roald Amundsen Monument is located in a small park area near the waterfront, coordinates 69.64799, 18.95899. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be a fee depending on the area.
