Bus
From Tromsø city center, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 'Tromsø Sjømat'. Take bus number 26 towards 'Tromsdalen'. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Sherpatrappa' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the trailhead leading to Sherpatrappa.
Walking
If you are staying in the Tromsø city center, you can also walk to Sherpatrappa. Start by heading towards the bridge, and cross the Tromsø Bridge (Tromsøbrua). Continue straight ahead along the road until you reach the Tromsdalen area. Follow the signs towards Sherpatrappa, which is about a 40-minute walk from the bridge.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Tromsø. Cycle towards the Tromsø Bridge and cross it. Once across, follow the cycling paths towards Tromsdalen. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Sherpatrappa. The bike ride will take around 25-30 minutes depending on your pace.
