Getting There

Walking
From Sentrum, start at Storgata, the main street. Head north until you reach the junction with Grønnegata. Turn left onto Grønnegata and continue straight until you reach the end of the street. At the intersection, take a right onto Strandvegen. Follow Strandvegen for about 1 km until you see the entrance to the Arctic–Alpine Botanic Garden on your left. This walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

From Sentrum, make your way to the nearest bus stop, which is typically located along Storgata. Look for bus number 20, which goes to the University of Tromsø. You will need a ticket for the bus, which costs around 40 NOK for a single journey. Once on the bus, stay on for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Universitetet' stop. The botanic garden is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop; just follow the signs directing you to the garden.
