Walking
If you are starting from the Trondheim city center, head east on Kongens Gate towards Munkegata. Continue straight until you reach the bus station called 'Prinsens Gate'. From there, take bus number 6 or 7 towards Lade. The journey will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Lade alle'. From the bus stop, walk south along Lade alle for about 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to NTNU Ringve Botanical Garden on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in the city center. Head east on Olav Tryggvasons gate and continue to follow it as it becomes Bakkegata. Cycle along the river until you reach the bridge called 'Bakkebru'. Cross the bridge and take a right onto Lade alle. Continue on Lade alle for about 1.5 kilometers until you find the entrance to NTNU Ringve Botanical Garden on your left.
