If you are driving, start your journey on the E18 motorway. From Oslo, take the E18 south towards Drammen. After passing Drammen, continue on E18 for approximately 80 km until you reach the exit for Langesund (Exit 30). Follow the signs towards Langesund, and then turn onto Tangenveien. Tangen Fort will be located on your left at Tangenveien 21, 3970 Langesund. There is free parking available near the fort.

To reach Tangen Fort using public transportation, start by taking a train from Oslo to Skien. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Skien, transfer to the bus service towards Langesund (Bus Line 100). The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Langesund, Tangenveien'. From there, Tangen Fort is a short 10-minute walk down Tangenveien. Be sure to check the latest schedules and plan your journey accordingly.
