Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Oslo and head northwest on E18. After approximately 35 km, take the exit towards Hønefoss (E16) and continue on E16 for about 42 km. Take exit 38 towards Ringerike and follow the signs to Hønefoss. Once in Hønefoss, navigate to the address 3512 Hønefoss. There is a parking area near the entrance of Mørkgonga naturreservat. Please note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mørkgonga naturreservat using public transportation, start by taking a train from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) to Hønefoss. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Hønefoss station, exit the station and take a local bus towards 'Hønefoss sentrum'. You can check the local bus schedule for the best connections. Get off the bus at the nearest stop to Mørkgonga naturreservat. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to the entrance of the nature reserve. Make sure to check the train and bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can also consider taking a taxi or rideshare service from Hønefoss station directly to Mørkgonga naturreservat. This option is convenient if you have luggage or prefer not to walk. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 150-200 NOK for the taxi fare.
