    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Bergen city center. Head northwest on Strandgaten toward Rådhuset. Continue straight onto Bryggen and follow the signs for E39. Take the E39 highway toward Laksevåg. After approximately 7 km, take exit 80 toward Gravdalsbakken. Merge onto Gravdalsbakken, and continue for about 2 km until you reach Kvarven Fort. There is parking available near the fort, but keep in mind that it may be limited during peak tourist seasons.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, start at Bergen Bus Station. Take bus line 12 towards Laksevåg. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Gravdal'. From there, it's a short 20-minute walk to Kvarven Fort. Follow Gravdalsbakken road uphill, and you will see the fort's entrance.
