Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you're in downtown Akron, start by heading to the Akron Public Library bus stop. Board the METRO RTA bus Line 1 (Green Line) towards the North Hill. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the bus stop at Portage Path and N. Main St. From there, walk north on N. Main St. for about 10 minutes until you reach N. Portage Path. Turn left onto N. Portage Path and continue walking for about 5 minutes. Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens will be on your right at 714 N Portage Path.

• Walking

  If you're near the University of Akron, start at the Student Union. Walk west on E. Exchange St. until you reach N. Main St. Turn right onto N. Main St. and continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the intersection with N. Portage Path. Turn left onto N. Portage Path and walk for another 5 minutes. Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens will be located on your right at 714 N Portage Path.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from downtown Akron. Head north on the Towpath Trail, which is accessible at various points in the city. Continue on the Towpath Trail until you reach the section near N. Portage Path. Exit the trail and follow N. Portage Path to the south, where you will find Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens at 714 N Portage Path. This route takes about 20 minutes and provides a scenic view along the way.
