Walking
If you're starting from the Akron Civic Theatre, exit the theatre and head west on W Market St toward S Main St. Walk for about 0.3 miles (approximately 6-7 minutes). As you walk, you will pass various shops and restaurants, which could be a nice opportunity to explore. Continue straight until you reach S Main St, then turn right. After about 0.1 miles, you will see the entrance to the University of Akron on your left. Continue walking into the university's campus.

You will need to walk through the campus, and as you approach the Fir Hill area, you will notice Hower House is located at 60 Fir Hill, which is a historic house museum. It should be directly ahead in approximately a 10-minute walk from the university's entrance.

From there, you can take the 'Green Line' bus towards Akron. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the exact times. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop closest to the University of Akron. From the bus stop, it’s about a 5-minute walk to Hower House, following the walking directions given above.
