Continue on US-23 N for about 8 miles, then take the exit toward Powell. Merge onto Powell Rd and follow it for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Unnamed Road, where the Highbanks Observation Deck is located. Look for parking at the designated area nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey by finding the nearest bus stop that services the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA). You can take the bus route that goes toward the Polaris area, then transfer to route 80 or 81, which will take you to the closest stop near Powell. From the bus stop, it is approximately a 25-minute walk to the Highbanks Observation Deck. Head west on Powell Rd until you reach Unnamed Road. Be sure to check the COTA schedule for the latest service times. Note that public transportation may not operate on a regular schedule on weekends.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Highbanks Observation Deck, consider starting from downtown Columbus. Use the Olentangy River Trail, which provides a scenic route. The total distance is roughly 15 miles. Follow the trail north until you reach the area near Powell Rd, then navigate to Unnamed Road to reach the observation deck. If you’re already in the Powell area, walking to Highbanks Observation Deck is a pleasant option. From downtown Powell, head west on Powell Rd for about 1.5 miles. Then, turn right onto Unnamed Road.
