If you are driving, start from downtown Columbus, Ohio. Take I-670 E from N High St. Merge onto I-71 N toward Cleveland. Continue on I-71 N for about 10 miles. Take exit 117B for I-270 N toward Cleveland. After approximately 4 miles, take exit 23 for Worthington. Turn left onto S High St, then right onto Plesenton Dr. Jeffers Mound will be on your right. There is no parking fee at this historical landmark.

To reach Jeffers Mound using public transportation, start by taking the COTA (Central Ohio Transit Authority) bus from downtown Columbus to the Worthington area. You can take the #2 bus to the Worthington Park and Ride, which operates frequently. From the Worthington Park and Ride, it’s a short 15-minute walk to Jeffers Mound. Head east on E Wilson Bridge Rd, then turn right on N High St, and finally left onto Plesenton Dr. Ensure to check the COTA schedule for the latest bus times as there may be a fare of approximately $2.00 per ride.

For those who prefer cycling, you can start from downtown Columbus. Head north on High St. and follow the Olentangy River Greenway Trail, which is a scenic route. Continue on the trail until you reach Worthington. Once you reach the vicinity of Plesenton Dr, you can navigate towards Jeffers Mound. This route is about 10 miles and provides a beautiful view of the river and surrounding areas. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring a lock for your bike, as there may not be dedicated bike racks at the site.
