Walking
If you're in central Covington, head south on Madison Avenue toward 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street, which will lead you directly to the riverfront. Once at the riverfront, follow the path along the Ohio River until you reach the Newport Aquarium at 1 Levee Way, Newport, KY 41071. This walk is approximately 1.2 miles and should take about 25-30 minutes.

Public Transit
From Covington, you can utilize the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) bus service. Locate the nearest bus stop, and take the TANK Route 1 (Fort Wright) in the direction of the Newport Pavilion. The fare is typically around $1.50 for a single ride. Get off at the stop near the Newport Pavilion, then walk north on E 3rd Street until you reach the aquarium, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a nearby rental service in Covington. Head directly south on Madison Avenue, then follow the same walking route along Washington Street to the riverfront. Once you are on the riverfront path, you can bike to the Newport Aquarium. The biking distance is similar to walking, but you may reach the aquarium in about 10-15 minutes depending on your speed.
