Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Downtown Cleveland, the Great Lakes Science Center is a short and pleasant walk away. Start by heading east on Euclid Avenue. Continue walking straight until you reach East 9th Street. Turn left onto East 9th Street and walk until you reach the lakefront. From there, you will see the Great Lakes Science Center directly ahead at 601 Erieside Ave. The total walking distance is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20-25 minutes.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    You can take the RTA bus to get to the Great Lakes Science Center. From any location in Downtown Cleveland, find the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus routes that head towards the lakefront, such as the #15 bus. Board the bus and pay the fare, which is currently $2.50 for a single ride. Ask the driver to notify you when you reach the Science Center stop. The bus ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

  • Public Transit - Light Rail

    Another option is to take the RTA Light Rail. If you are near the Tower City Center, head to the Light Rail station and board the 'Blue Line' or 'Green Line' heading towards the airport or Shaker Square. Get off at the 'North Coast' station, which is the nearest stop to the Great Lakes Science Center. After disembarking, walk east towards the lakefront; it should take about 5 minutes to reach the Science Center. The fare for the Light Rail is also $2.50 for a single ride.
