Travel Guide to Cleveland Public Square

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, simply head towards Public Square, which is a large plaza located at the intersection of Superior Ave and Ontario St. From places like the Key Tower or the Cleveland City Hall, it's just a short walk. Look for the large, green space and the towering buildings surrounding it. Follow the signs pointing towards Public Square, and you will find yourself at 50 Public Square, the center of activity in Downtown.

• Public Transit - RTA

  To reach Public Square using public transit, locate the nearest RTA (Regional Transit Authority) station. If you are near the Tower City Center, take the RTA Light Rail. Board any train heading towards the 'Tower City' station. Once you arrive at Tower City, exit the station and follow the signs to Public Square, which is a short walk from there. The fare for the RTA is $2.50 for a single ride. Make sure to have exact change or a prepaid card.

• Biking

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bike from one of the local bike-share stations. You can find stations near popular spots like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or the Great Lakes Science Center. Once you have a bike, head north towards the waterfront, then take the bike lanes toward Public Square. This route is approximately 1 mile and should take about 10-15 minutes. Be aware of bike rental costs, typically around $3 for a single ride and additional fees for extended use.
