Exploring the Natural Beauty of Van Buren State Park

Getting There

• Public Bus

  To get to Van Buren State Park from downtown Findlay, first locate the Findlay Transit System bus stop. Board the bus that takes you to the Findlay City Bus Transfer Center. From there, transfer to a bus that heads toward Van Buren. Ask the driver to confirm that the route goes to Van Buren State Park or get off at a nearby stop if necessary. Once you arrive in Van Buren, follow the signs to the park, which is located at 12259 Township Rd 218, a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  Start your journey from downtown Findlay by heading south on S Main St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E Main Cross St. Turn left on E Main Cross St and follow it as it curves into OH-568 E. Keep an eye out for bike lanes and paths. Ride along OH-568 E for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with Township Rd 218. Turn right onto Township Rd 218, and Van Buren State Park will be on your left after about 2 miles.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, start at the Findlay city center and head south on S Main St. Continue straight until you reach E Main Cross St and turn left. Walk along E Main Cross St as it turns into OH-568 E. This path is about 10 miles long, so be prepared for a lengthy trek. Once you reach the intersection with Township Rd 218, turn right. Van Buren State Park will be located on your left after about 2 miles.
