Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to the Merry-Go-Round Museum, start by navigating to Sandusky, Ohio. From anywhere in Lake Erie Islands, head to the mainland via ferry services such as the Jet Express or Miller Ferry, which operate from various points on the islands. Once you reach the mainland, follow the signs to Route 6/US-250. Continue on US-250 until you reach the intersection with Jackson St. Turn left onto Jackson St, and the museum will be on your left at 301 Jackson St. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that might apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take the ferry from your island to Sandusky. The Jet Express is a popular choice, with regular schedules from Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island to the mainland. Once you arrive at the Jet Express terminal in Sandusky, walk or take a local bus to the museum. The museum is approximately a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Head north on Water St, turn left onto Jackson St, and the museum will be on your right at 301 Jackson St. Be sure to check the ferry schedules in advance for costs and timing.
