Car
If you're driving, start by heading towards Huron, Ohio. From any point in the Lake Erie Islands, take a ferry back to the mainland, specifically to either Catawba Island or Sandusky. From Catawba Island, take Route 53 south to Route 2 west. If you're coming from Sandusky, use Route 2 east. Once on Route 2, take the Huron exit and merge onto US-6. Continue straight into Huron. The lighthouse is located at the end of Huron's waterfront area, look for the signs leading to the pier and waterfront park where the lighthouse is situated.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, you will first need to take the ferry from your current island to either Catawba Island or Sandusky. Once you arrive, you can use the Greyhound bus service or local taxis to reach Huron. The bus will take you to Huron's downtown area, from which you can walk to the waterfront. Look for signage directing you to the pier where the Huron Lighthouse is located.
Walking
If you're already in Huron, you can easily walk to the Huron Lighthouse. From the center of Huron, head south towards the waterfront. Follow Main Street until you reach the lakefront. Once you arrive at the water, you will see signs for the lighthouse. The walk is scenic and takes about 15-20 minutes.
