Gunlock Park: A Scenic Oasis in Marietta

Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey at the Marietta College campus. Head southeast on 3rd Street towards the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue until you reach the intersection with 7th Street. Turn right onto 7th Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Greene Street. Turn left onto Greene Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Putnam Street. Here, you will see the Lowes store. Gunlock Park is located directly behind Lowes. Follow the pathway behind the store to reach the entrance of Gunlock Park.

• Public Transportation

  From the Marietta City Center, take Bus Route 1 towards the Lowes stop. The bus will take you along the main streets of Marietta. Once you arrive at the Lowes stop, disembark and walk towards the back of the Lowes store. Gunlock Park is situated directly behind the store. Follow the path leading to the park entrance.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, start at the Marietta City Park located in downtown. Head north on the bike path along the Muskingum River until you reach the intersection with 3rd Street. Turn right onto 3rd Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street, and then right onto 7th Street. Continue straight until you reach Greene Street, where you will turn left. Follow Greene Street until you reach Putnam Street, and then you will see Lowes on your left side. Gunlock Park is located directly behind Lowes; follow the path leading to the park entrance.
