From downtown Mason, walk to the nearest bus stop on Mason-Montgomery Road. Board the Warren County Transit bus (Route 2) towards Lebanon. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Lebanon station. From there, transfer to the Warren County Transit bus (Route 3) towards Oregonia. This bus will take you directly to the stop closest to Fort Ancient. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk about 0.5 miles along OH-350 to reach Fort Ancient's entrance at 6123 OH-350, Oregonia, OH 45054.

Starting from downtown Mason, rent a bike from a local rental shop. Head south on Mason-Montgomery Road, then take a right onto the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Follow the trail for about 8 miles until you reach the intersection with OH-350. Turn left onto OH-350 and bike for another 1.5 miles.
