Follow OH-350 for approximately 6 miles. Fort Ancient will be on your right at 6123 OH-350, Oregonia, OH 45054. Look for the sign; the entrance is well marked. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you will need to first reach a bus station in Dayton, OH. From downtown Dayton, take the Greater Dayton RTA bus to the Lebanon station. Once in Lebanon, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Fort Ancient. The distance from Lebanon to Fort Ancient is about 10 miles, so the rideshare cost may vary, typically ranging from $15 to $25. Ensure to check the local bus schedules for the most convenient times.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can follow the Little Miami Scenic Trail, which connects to the areas around Oregonia. Start from any accessible point on the trail and head towards Oregonia. The route is mostly flat and scenic, making it a pleasant ride. Once you reach Oregonia, use OH-350 to access Fort Ancient. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have proper bike safety gear.
Walking
If you are already in Oregonia, you can walk to Fort Ancient. Simply head east on OH-350 from the center of Oregonia. It is about a 1-mile walk and should take approximately 20 minutes. Be sure to stay on the sidewalk where available and watch for traffic.
