Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within Mohican State Park, start by navigating towards the Mohican State Park Campground area. From the campground, continue on the park road and follow the signs pointing toward the Fire Tower. The Fire Tower is located at 1012 O D N R Mohican Rd 51, Perrysville, OH 44864. Look for the parking area near the base of the Fire Tower, where you can park your vehicle. Please note that there may be a small parking fee depending on the time of year and local regulations.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the Fire Tower, you can hike to it from various trails in the park. One recommended route is to take the Mohican Hiking Trail, which provides scenic views along the way. Follow the trail markers heading toward the Fire Tower. It is approximately a 1-mile walk from the nearest trailhead. Ensure you have comfortable walking shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from a local vendor in the park. Navigate your way to the Fire Tower via the designated bike paths. The ride is approximately 2 miles from the nearest bike rental station. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow park rules while cycling.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited directly to Mohican State Park. However, if you arrive via bus to the nearest major city, such as Mansfield, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the park entrance. Once at the park, you may need to utilize walking or biking to reach the Fire Tower as public transport does not extend into the park premises.
