If you are driving to Paint Creek State Park from any location in Southeast Ohio, follow these steps: From the nearest major city, such as Chillicothe, take US-23 North towards Bainbridge. After approximately 20 miles, take the exit for OH-138 West. Follow OH-138 for about 10 miles until you reach Bainbridge. Once in Bainbridge, turn onto Taylor Rd, and continue for about 2 miles until you see the entrance to Paint Creek State Park on your left. Note that there may be a parking fee of $5 per vehicle.

For those using public transportation, the nearest bus service is operated by the Ross County Transit. First, take a bus to Chillicothe. From Chillicothe, transfer to a bus heading towards Bainbridge. Upon arrival in Bainbridge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the remaining 2 miles to Paint Creek State Park. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may not be frequent.
