Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto US-23 S from your location in Southwest Ohio. Continue on US-23 S for approximately 90 miles until you reach the junction with US-50 E. Merge onto US-50 E and drive for about 30 miles. Take the exit for OH-32 E toward Athens. Follow OH-32 E for 20 miles until you reach Athens. Once in Athens, take the exit for OH-682 N and follow it to the intersection with W State St. Turn right onto W State St, and continue for a short distance. The Southeast Ohio History Center will be on your left at 24 W State St. Look for nearby parking options on the street or in public lots.

For those using public transportation, start by finding a bus service that operates in your area, such as Greyhound or Megabus, to get to Athens, OH. Check the bus schedules and book your ticket in advance. Once you arrive at the Athens bus station, you can either walk to the Southeast Ohio History Center, which is about a 15-minute walk (0.7 miles), or you can use a local taxi or rideshare service for convenience. If walking, head northwest on E State St toward S Court St, then turn left onto W State St. The Southeast Ohio History Center will be located at 24 W State St on your right.
