Car
From Wayne National Forest, head south on any accessible road towards US-33. Merge onto US-33 East. Continue on US-33 to the exit for OH-204 towards Millersport. Turn right onto OH-204, and after approximately 3 miles, turn left onto Leibs Island Rd NE. Buckeye Lake State Park will be on your right at 2905 Leibs Island Rd NE, Millersport, OH 43046. Parking is available at the park entrance, and there is no entry fee for visitors.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will need to first get to a nearby town with bus services, such as Lancaster or Newark. From Lancaster, take the public bus towards Millersport. Once in Millersport, you may need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Buckeye Lake State Park at 2905 Leibs Island Rd NE. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may not run frequently. Costs for the bus vary, so check the local transit authority for the latest fare information.
Bicycle
For those adventurous enough to cycle, from Wayne National Forest head towards US-33 and follow the same directions as for driving. However, ensure you have a suitable bike route planned as you will need to navigate through local roads to reach Buckeye Lake State Park. This option may take longer, so plan accordingly, and ensure you have proper safety gear. There are no fees for biking to the park, but parking may be limited.
