From the visitor center or any location within Black Mesa State Park, head west on Black Mesa Trail. Continue for approximately 8 miles until you reach the entrance of Black Mesa Preserve. The preserve is located just off Black Mesa Trail, and you will see signs indicating the entrance. The drive should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
Currently, there are no direct public transportation options to Black Mesa Preserve from within Black Mesa State Park. Visitors may need to travel via taxi or rideshare service. If you are at the park's visitor center, you can arrange for a local taxi to take you directly to Black Mesa Preserve. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
