Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in Frontier Country, head towards U.S. Highway 75. This highway is a major route through the region. Once you reach Denison, Texas, take the exit for U.S. Highway 69 towards Denison. Continue on U.S. Highway 69 until you reach the intersection with Rc Vaughan Rd. Turn left onto Rc Vaughan Rd, and the Frontier Village & Museum will be on your right at 111 Rc Vaughan Rd, Denison, TX 75020.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options may be limited in this area. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to Denison, Texas. Once you arrive at the Denison Greyhound station, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the museum. The museum is approximately 3 miles away from the Greyhound station. Expect to pay around $10-$15 for the taxi or rideshare fare.

• Bicycle

  If you're adventurous and in good shape, consider biking to the museum. There are bike paths along Rc Vaughan Rd. From downtown Denison, you can take Main St heading east, then take a right onto Rc Vaughan Rd. Follow Rc Vaughan Rd directly to the museum. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads.

  If you're staying nearby in Denison and prefer to walk, you can head south on Main St towards Rc Vaughan Rd. Turn left onto Rc Vaughan Rd and continue walking approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the Frontier Village & Museum at 111 Rc Vaughan Rd. It’s a pleasant walk, but ensure you have comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
