If you're driving, start by entering your GPS coordinates or address: 124 E Choctaw St, Tahlequah, OK 74464. If you're nearby in Lake and Trail Country, make your way to Highway 62. Head east on Highway 62 until you reach the intersection with Highway 82. Turn left onto Highway 82, and continue until you see signs for Tahlequah. Once in Tahlequah, follow the main road until you reach East Choctaw Street, where you will turn right. The museum will be on your left. Parking is available near the museum.

If you're already in downtown Tahlequah, you can easily walk to the Cherokee National Prison Museum. Head east on W. Downing St until you reach N. 1st St, then turn left. Continue straight, and when you reach E. Choctaw St, turn right. The museum will be on your left at 124 E Choctaw St. This walk is about 0.5 miles and should take around 10-15 minutes.
