Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach the 45th Infantry Division Museum from central Norman using public transportation, start by walking to the nearest bus station. You can find the Norman Public Transit bus stop at Main Street and Porter Avenue. Board the 'Cleveland County' bus heading towards Oklahoma City. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest bus times. After approximately 25-30 minutes, get off at the bus stop located at NE 36th St and Martin Luther King Ave. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles north on Martin Luther King Ave, then turn left onto NE 36th St, and you will arrive at the museum located at 2145 NE 36th St. The museum typically operates from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, start from the center of Norman and head east on Main Street. Continue straight for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with 12th Avenue SE. Turn right onto 12th Avenue SE and continue for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with East Lindsey Street. Turn left onto East Lindsey Street and ride for about 1.5 miles, following the road as it curves. Turn right onto 36th Ave NE, and proceed north until you reach the museum at 2145 NE 36th St. The total biking distance is approximately 5 miles. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling regulations.

• Walking

  If you are up for a longer walk, start from the University of Oklahoma campus. Head east on Lindsay Street, then take a left onto 12th Avenue SE. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach East Lindsey Street. Turn right, and walk for another mile until you reach 36th Ave NE. Turn left and walk north for about 0.5 miles. The museum will be on your right at 2145 NE 36th St. This route is approximately 3 miles and should take about an hour on foot.
